Make Your Mess Your Message

When Your Experiences Can Help Others

Make Your Mess your Message

I am a huge Good Morning America fan and recently heard Robin Roberts quote her mother when discussing her book, Everybody’s Got Something. She said simply and elegantly “Make Your Mess Your Message.” This touched my soul because I have faced many obstacles and challenges in the past few years. But once getting over those hurdles, what did I do with that lesson learned…absolutely nothing.

So, what do you do once you have gotten through your “mess?” Do you just go on with life, celebrate or maybe use it as a life lesson to help others? I have endured and survived the “mess” many times.
These past few times I have changed my approach once I weathered the storm. I began developing my message from my mess and pray it reaches and touches someone. Madam Manners was created from a MESS and I pray daily that this blog provides a message for someone. Thank you Robin Roberts for the confirmation and continued inspiration!

As we enter 2016, I plan to share so much more with each of you! I will continue to use all of the storms weathered to truly share amazing messages from my personal mess along my journey.  Don’t be ashamed to share, your message could be that one thing someone needs to hear to keep going! Wishing you all the best for the New Year ladies!

Fondly,

Madam Manners Monogram

I wholeheartedly believe that part of our purpose is to touch and help change someone else from our past experiences. What good is a lesson that hasn’t been shared? Why leave a fellow sister feeling alone and ashamed when you can truly relate? Why be ashamed of something that has propelled you to be a better you? This truth has probably been my biggest life lesson yet.
