When Consistency Meets Real Life

So it’s been months since I opened my WordPress account and stroked these keys with the intent to provide useful information to the masses. Where have I been, what happened to that “Consistency” I referenced at the beginning of the year? These are all questions that I have been pondering for quite some time. Have I failed myself????Sometimes in life, you get overwhelmed and consumed in life and you lose sight of time. Before you know it, those hours have turned into days and days into weeks and weeks into months. So that level of being overwhelmed, brings me here….months without blogging.

I began to feel so bad about not blogging in such a long time, that I actually said….maybe I should just leave the blog alone. The length of time became so great, I couldn’t figure out how to make it all work. I had all of these blog topics floating in my head, but I just couldn’t find a way to begin again. So I began to pray and new God would show me a way when he was ready.

And here we are today….my entry back to Madam Manners. As part of an assignment for a group, I began reading The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. This was my second go round with this book and clearly I needed to read it a second time. It reminded me of the purpose of good habits, goal setting, routines, consistency, accountability and so much more. So I am biting off a little bit at a time and setting a small goal. Simply to blog twice a month. So here we are, post 1 for the month, a small entry back into the world of Madam Manners. A special thank you to those special ladies that I read this book with and pray that they too will develop great habits to take their lives and businesses to the next level.

I recommend that everyone read this book. This is an easy read, but more importantly a life changing read if you apply it in your daily routines. It truly gave me the push start I needed to start blogging again when I never thought it was possible.  Here is to learning the art of becoming consistent and implementing the principles of The Compound Effect.
